Beautiful Colorado Mountain Cabin with Ham Radio Access at the Foot of Mt. Princeton

WELCOME TO LOST CREEK CABIN

Buena Vista is located in the Upper Arkansas River Valley in the center of Colorado. The valley is protected to the west by the spectacular Collegiate Peaks, which are Colorado's highest mountains.

With many streams and high mountain lakes, the Buena Vista area is a premier location for hiking and backpacking. More than 80% of the land in the region is federal or state land which is open to recreation.

The area is also popular for white water rafting, cross-country skiing, mountain biking, fly-fishing, horseback riding, rock hounding, animal watching and just about any other outdoor activity that comes to mind. Major downhill ski areas are just over an hour away.

THE CABIN

Perched on the eastern slopes of majestic Mt. Princeton at a breathtaking 9,000 feet, this charming cabin nestles within the exclusive "Lost Creek" community, a serene blend of vacation retreats and year-round homes. Its classic chalet design seamlessly merges with the surrounding alpine wonderland, creating a picture-perfect mountain haven.

As you wind your way up the reliable all-weather road from Buena Vista, keep your eyes peeled for thrilling wildlife sightings: graceful elk grazing in meadows, deer bounding through the trees, pronghorn antelope roaming freely, and majestic birds of prey soaring overhead. It's a drive that sets the stage for pure adventure. Inside, discover four spacious bedrooms boasting five plush double beds, three modern bathrooms, and a fun loft area that's ideal for the little ones. The cabin comes fully equipped for effortless comfort. Just swing by Buena Vista's well-stocked grocery store or savor a meal at one of its delightful restaurants to fill the fridge and pantry for your getaway.

The heart of the home is the inviting living room, a cozy sanctuary for curling up with a good book or quiet contemplation. Unwind with a color TV and DVD player for movie nights, or gather around the stunning native-rock fireplace accented with elegant marble sourced straight from Marble, Colorado.

On those crisp evenings, fire up the wood stove for instant, toasty warmth that enhances the rustic magic. Step into the fully equipped kitchen, complete with a microwave, range, oven, and spacious refrigerator, everything you need to whip up hearty mountain meals or quick snacks after a day of adventure. The sunroom serves as a versatile haven, transforming into a generous dining area that comfortably seats up to 12 guests. It's also your front-row seat to nature's spectacle: watch colorful birds flit about feeders and curious wildlife wander the lot, all from the warmth of this light-filled space.

Explore the thoughtful layout across three levels:

  • Main Level: Cozy living room, well-stocked kitchen, sunroom with dining area, luxurious master bedroom with its own full bath, a second bedroom, and an additional 3/4 bath for convenience.
